Scholarship

The AFAP Scholarship is a new initiative (2024) to increase access to fertility awareness education training and certification programs.

AFAP has a long-standing commitment to strengthen the study, practice, and advancement of the field of secular fertility awareness by encouraging a broader body of certified Fertility Awareness Educators.

 

Criteria

In order to apply, the candidate must:

  • Be accepted to one or more of AFAP’s four accredited training organizations
  • Identify as part of a marginalized community and/or ethnic or sexual minority
  • Be committed to expanding access to fertility awareness within their community(ies)

 

Process

  1. Complete the AFAP Scholarship Application Form linked below. 
  2. The AFAP Scholarship Committee reviews applications and selects a recipient.
  3. The recipient’s training organization receives $2,000 USD from AFAP towards the recipient’s program costs.

 

Timeline

  • Scholarship applications are accepted from July 31, 2024 through August 31, 2024.
  • Applications are reviewed by members of the AFAP Scholarship Committee in September 2024.
  • A member of the AFAP Scholarship Committee will contact both the recipient and their selected training organization by September 30th and no later than October 15th to notify both parties of the decision.
